Our ginger elixir is dense with mature-harvest Fiji ginger, simmered and steeped then filtered into a silky, rich syrup that tastes like “liquid gingerbread” and warms you right down to the cockles of your heart.

The Craft Behind the Bottle
Our ginger syrup begins with mature Fiji ginger grown especially for Hakanoa by the Navurevure farming community south of Suva. Left longer in the ground, this ginger develops deeper flavour and more natural heat, delivering the deep warmth that defines this syrup.
The ginger is washed (never peeled), crushed and slowly simmered with filtered water, organic fair-trade raw cane sugar, sultanas, a touch of dried ginger for added intensity, and a dash of NZ lemon juice for balance. This process induces osmosis, which extracts all of the beneficial element from the ginger. After steeping slowly, the fibre is sieved away, leaving behind a smooth, velvety syrup with deep amber richness and layered warmth.
