Our concentrates & syrups are made here in Auckland . We work with Aromatics in Takanini, using recipes developed originally in Hakanoa Street in Grey Lynn.

Q: How long do the concentrates & syrups last? How do I store them?

All Hakanoa products are pasteurised and safe to be stored at room temperature unopened . Syrups can be stored for 3 years and gingers beers for 2 years before their flavours start to fade. Best in a dark cool cupboard if you have one. All Hakanoa products are preservative-free. Our concentrates must be refrigerated after opening and used within 3 months.

Fresh, bright, and alive. This is our kitchen-bench lemonade, made with real NZ lemons, organic raw cane sugar, and a touch of lime juice and lemon zest. That's it - no water, no added anything whatsoever. It tastes like sunshine and summer afternoons.

This is true lemonade. Not a squash, not a cordial - just juice, zest and raw cane sugar.

The Craft Behind the Bottle

Our lemonade starts with freshly squeezed New Zealand lemons, blended with organic fair-trade raw cane sugar, a splash of lime juice and a whisper of lemon zest. Just four honest ingredients, carefully balanced to let the citrus lead.

We've left out water, left out all the additives, and kept the sugar level at 'just enough' so it's naturally vibrant and refreshingly crisp. Lightly sweetened and beautifully clean on the palate, it leaves room for the lemon’s natural flavour and tang to shine, creating a drink that’s uplifting rather than cloying.

Simply add water, still or sparkling, and pour yourself a moment of uncomplicated joy.

Serve It Like This

Pour roughly 30ml of concentrate into a glass and top with 220 ml of still or sparkling water. Stir. Taste. Then adjust the sweetness or tartness to your mood — more syrup for a deeper lemon punch, or lighter for a gentle, refreshing sip.

One 500 ml bottle makes around 16 glasses; a 300 ml bottle around 10.

We ship to most places in the North and South Islands of New Zealand, however we are really sorry, we are unable to ship to Great Barrier, the Chatham Islands & Stewart Island.

All deliveries should be delivered to you within 3 - 5 business days.
Expected delivery times for orders placed before midday are:
North Island - 2 business days
South Island - 3 business days
Rural delivery please allow an extra 2 days.

Type in your city or suburb and you’ll see all the stockists near you. You’ll pay a bit more and most of them only stock single bottles, but any purchase supports our business and we’re very grateful to those stockists for their custom.

There are a lot of cafes that serve our Chai but don’t necessarily stock our ginger beers as well. To make it easy, we’ve created a category so you can see just the ones that have ginger beer.

You can always ask your local to get our ginger beers in, if they serve our Chai they’re bound to be good people
